I am retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years service. I then worked at the aircraft storage area at Davis Monthan AFB AZ. for 15 years. I started playing around with photography in 2007 and in 2009 with recommendation from my good friend and mentor John, I bought a Nikon D5000 with two lens and started on my journey.
In the past year I have had five of my photos published in the East Side Edition of the Arizona Daily Star newspaper in Tucson AZ.
Five of my photographs ('After the Snow', 'Cowboy's Breaktime', Backdoors of Whiskey Row', 'Waiting on a Paddle' and 'Well Worn') were juried into the 35th Annual International Bank Art Show, presented by The Raton Arts and Humanities Council, Raton N.M.
'After the Snow' was juried into the15th Annual Lines into Shapes National Show at the Art Center of Estes Park Colorado. Also two of my miniatures, ' Backdoors of Whiskey Row' and 'Waiting on a Paddle' will be shown.
'After the Snow', 'Well Worn' and 'Cowboy Breaktime' were juried into the Art from the Heart, Greeley Art Association Show Feb. 2012. The Juror was Lani Vlaanderen.
'Sunlight Through the Aspens' has been juried into the 2012 Artists Association of Northern Colorado National Show in Ft. Collins Colorado. The jurior was Betty Carr.
'Cowboy's Breaktime' won first place at the St. Stephen's Art Show in Longmont Colorado. The jurior was Michael Lightner, www.lightnerimages.com.
'Snow Shadows','Spider in Red' and Saguaro Shadow' have been juriored into the National Greeley Art Exhibit in Greeley Colorado. The Jurior is Bob Coonts his web site is www.bobcoonts.com.
